Rajab is particularly significant in Islamic tradition due to the event of Isra and Mi’raj (the Night Journey and Ascension of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him). This event is commemorated on the 27th night of Rajab, marking the miraculous journey of the Prophet from Mecca to Jerusalem and his ascension to the heavens. In Iran, this night is considered one of great spiritual significance, with many Muslims spending the night in prayer, reciting the Qur’an, and engaging in acts of devotion.
