Umrah can be performed at any time of the year, unlike Hajj, which has fixed dates in the Islamic calendar. However, the rituals of Umrah remain the same regardless of when it is undertaken. It is not a long pilgrimage, typically lasting from a few hours to a few days, depending on the individual’s time and schedule.

Although Umrah can be performed throughout the year, there is particular significance in performing Umrah during the month of Ramadan. The rewards for acts of worship performed during Ramadan, including Umrah, are believed to be multiplied. In fact, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “Umrah in Ramadan is equivalent to Hajj with me” (Sahih Bukhari). Hence, many Muslims aspire to perform Umrah during the blessed month of Ramadan, particularly during the last ten days, when spiritual rewards are heightened.
